Tasting Notes

On the season's first frost, our Cidermaker lit a fire to char orange peels and smoke bay, sage, and cardoon leaves. While still warm they were then combined with our barrel-aged blackberry dessert cider and mulling spices. After a months rest it was blended with dry cider and bottled with a slight effervescense. Candied orange, spices, and delicate hints of smoke are balanced by a subtle sweetness. It’s a flavor that evokes the cozy feeling of sitting by a fire with great company.
